My Unforgettable Day

That day was the day of Katina Maha Pinkama in our village temple. That day is ill full moon poya day.So, there was something that I wanted to sacrifice for a long time. Yes, that is what you can see in the picture above. I was very eager to offer a Buddha statue beautifully decorated with beads.So, I was able to offer that idol on the day of Katina Pinkama in our temple. It is a great pleasure for me.

Every year in my temple which is Dehelwehera Sri Dhammapalarama, Katina Maha Pinkama is used on the day of ill full moon poya in the month of November.So on that day, I bought a Buddha statue with the money I earned and bought all the materials needed to decorate it. With the help of my family, I decorated it beautifully.Later I deposited it in the relics of our temple by my parents.

I wish that my mother and father, my boyfriend, my sisters, and my loved ones who helped me with even a word to fulfill that desire, deserve the credit.Not only that, I think that everyone who worships the Buddha statue that I offered will receive the blessings of that devotion. I am very happy to have the strength to make such a sacrifice.I was very happy that day. So, I will never forget that day.
